Due to unforeseen circumstances the Server Update planned for Ace last weekend (July 6th and 7th) was moved to this weekend (July 13th and 14th). Our preliminary checks turned up a couple of non-threatening issues that need to be fixed before the upgrade can proceed. Rest assured that these issues in no way affect your hosting experience.

That's right ladies and gentlemen. It's that time of the year again where we do extensive and labor intensive upgrades to bring you the quality and service that you deserve. The server affected this week is one of our oldest running servers ACE! If you happen to be on this wonderful server you can expect very minimal downtimes with a slight chance of better performance at the end of the week. The main feature will occur on Friday the 6th and Saturday the 7th starting at 7pm CST where we will be upgrading the main Operating System. OS upgrades have been scheduled for this coming week. All servers hosted on FreeBSD will be upgraded to the latest Release of 6.2. We will upgrade one server at a time until all servers have been upgraded. We do not anticipate any problems with these upgrades. We are looking forward to this as there have been quite a few security enhancements as well as a few performance enhancements. The first server to be upgraded will be Rod and will start tomorrow afternoon around 4:00 pm CST. There will be at least four reboots per upgrade for each server. Downtime is expected to be very minimal.

Service Changes

Categories:
General,
Ace,
Rod
We've been working on making some changes recently and there have been three major ones that affect all users.
The first is the makeover of the billing portion of our website. We have upgraded to a much more powerful and user friendly piece of software. You can view this thread for more information on the changes.
The second change has to do with our website. You can now access Billing via a 'quick link' found at the top of every page. In addition, we have moved to a shopping cart format for all purchases. This should hopefully make things a little less confusing when submitting new orders.
The last modification has to do with the way that e-mail is sent out from the server. We have disabled the user 'nobody' from sending mail so that everything must be sent from a valid SMTP account. We have a thread in our forums with a little bit more information on the subject. If you need any help with this or any further instruction on how to get your scripts to send e-mail, please contact us.
Thanks.
